9G Working Visa

Pre-arranged Employment Visa (9G Working Visa)

It is the most common type of work visa that is issued by the Bureau of Immigration to foreign nationals who engage in gainful employment in the Philippines. It has multiple entry and exit privileges while working with a company registered under Philippine laws.

If you are to be employed for more than 6 months, particularly in a technical, executive or managerial capacity or in a position of high confidence for at least a year, an employment visa is necessary

What You Need to Know:

  • If the 9G working visa is still in process and need to work already in the company, expats may be able to apply for a provisionary work permit (PWP).
  • 9G working visa can be applied for a 1, 2 or maximum of 3 years, renewable.
  • Processing takes 2-3 months.

  • Original Passport
  • Employment Contract
  • Proof of TIN (TIN Card/Form 1904)
  • CRC per page of SEC
  • Articles of Incorporation
  • CTC per page of GIS
  • Mayor’s Permit / PEZA registration
  • Alien Employment Permit
  • Newspaper Publication
  • Certification
  • Bureau of Quarantine (if applicable)

 

Other Services:

  • Visa Downgrading – for visa holders whose employment has been terminated, ended or will have a new employer, the current visa has to be downgraded and apply again for a new one.
  • Annual Report – foreign nationals who’s holding a valid visa with an ACR Card (except for tourist visa) needs to report yearly every first 60 days of the year.
  • ACR Card Cancellation – for ACR Card holders (except tourist) whose employment has been terminated, ended or will have a new employer, the current ACR Card has to be cancelled.
