Air-Conditioned Storage · Philippines

Air-conditioned storage in Manila, Cebu and Davao: held at a steady climate, by us

A unit where temperature and humidity are held whatever the season does outside, for the electronics, instruments, art, wine and archives a standard unit would slowly ruin. Asia Relocation Philippines manages the unit, keeps the contents on a digital inventory, and releases what you ask for.

Air-conditioned storage is the option for things the Philippine climate would take from you. Not by flood or theft, which a good warehouse already answers, but slowly: mould across a leather sofa over a wet season, joints moving in wooden furniture, photographs sticking to their sleeves, corrosion inside a laptop that was fine when it went in. A conditioned unit holds temperature and humidity steady, whatever the month.

It is also the storage we manage on your behalf rather than the storage you enter yourself. The contents go onto a digital inventory as they are placed, so a single instrument or box of files can be found and released without unpacking the unit. That suits people away for a year, and companies that need one item produced at short notice.

Asia Relocation Philippines has held sensitive goods here since 2011, in its own warehouses in Manila and Cebu and in conditioned units in Davao, the widest reach of our three storage options. The packers who move households collect, wrap and place the goods; support runs in two languages.

The perimeter

Held dry, watched and listed, and what the other two services are for

Three ways to store with us; the difference is who keeps the goods, in what air.

Carried by the service

  • A conditioned unit where temperature and humidity are held steady, cleaned and maintained, pest control on a schedule.
  • A digital inventory written as the goods go in, updated when anything is released, yours to consult for the whole hold.
  • A secured building: cameras at all hours, access control, trained security staff, ground in a flood-free zone.
  • Release on request: one item or the whole load, found by its entry on the list, delivered to you or onward.
  • Options set out in writing: our packers for collection and wrapping, cover on the declared value, a corporate account.

Volume is measured before anything is quoted; the figure then holds.

A different service

  • Things you will keep coming back for. If you expect to open the door yourself every few weeks, a unit of your own is self storage, in Manila or Cebu, the better fit for everyday cartons and furniture.
  • Goods that will cross water again. A household bound for another island or another country does better sealed into reinforced crates, built and held in Manila and Cebu.
  • The move to the next address. Taking a household from one Philippine home to another is our moving service in the Philippines; the sensitive part of the load is dropped here on the way.
  • Cold storage for food or medicine. We hold a stable room climate, not a refrigerated chamber. Perishables needing refrigeration are not a service we offer.

Same file for all of it; name the rest in the inquiry.

What goes in

Five kinds of goods that the Philippine air would spoil

If humidity would change it, it belongs here.

Laptops, servers and camera gear

Laptops, screens, servers between two offices, audio and camera gear. Corrosion on contacts is invisible until the device fails, months after it went into a damp unit.

Electronics

A piano, a canvas, a lacquered cabinet

A piano, a guitar, a canvas, a lacquered cabinet: wood moves and varnish clouds with every swing in humidity. Held steady, they come out as they went in.

Collections

Wine, wardrobes and textiles

Fine wine that must not cook, designer clothing, antique fabrics and leather: the goods clients most regret having put in a standard unit for a wet season.

Delicate

Paper: archives, books, photographs

Company files that must be kept and produced, personal papers, libraries, photo albums. Mildew and cockling are the damage, and neither reverses.

Paper

Business stock with a shelf condition

Medical supplies, marketing material, samples and packaging a distributor cannot sell once humidity has marked them. Listed, released by the carton.

Enterprise
How it works

Five steps from the survey to an item you can ask for by name

  1. The survey

We see what is going in, sort what needs a controlled climate from what does not, and ask which city it will be delivered to and how often you may want something back.

  2. The quotation

A written figure on the volume measured, the term, and the options taken: packing, collection, cover on a declared value. Extension and early release are in the same document.

  3. Collection and wrapping

Our packers collect anywhere in Metro Manila or Cebu, wrap instruments, art and electronics as each requires, and list every item as it is packed.

  4. The hold

Goods sit in a conditioned unit that ignores the season outside, under cameras and security staff, in a building cleaned and treated against pests on a schedule.

  5. Release, by the item or all at once

Ask for one entry on the inventory or the whole load; it is found, checked against the list, and delivered to your door or next address.

Who it's for

Four owners of goods the humidity would take

The expatriate on assignment

Arriving with a piano, a wine collection or a library into a condominium that cannot take them, or leaving for a year and unwilling to move them twice. Held steady until the next address is known.

The company with equipment between two offices

Startups, embassies, law firms and logistics companies: IT equipment, archives, medical stock and marketing material that must come out as they went in, by the carton.

The collector

Art, antiques, textiles, wine, instruments: things a valuation would call irreplaceable, and a standard unit would quietly damage. Listed, insured on request, released by the piece.

The family waiting for a home in the south

Davao is served with conditioned units and nothing else, so this is the option for a household settling in Mindanao while the residence is found. The goods wait on the right island.

Coverage

Three cities, and the one where this is the only option

Conditioned units in Metro Manila, Cebu and Davao; collections in Metro Manila and Cebu.

Manila and Cebu are our own warehouses, in flood-free zones, with security on site around the clock. Which to use is decided by where the goods will be delivered, not where they are leaving from: a retrieval from the wrong island is a sea crossing, and sensitive goods do not benefit from a second one.

Davao is the city where this service stands alone: neither crates nor a unit you enter yourself are offered there, so a household settling in the south, or a business with stock in Mindanao, uses a conditioned unit by default. We say so before the survey, because it changes the collection plan.

FAQ

What clients ask before handing over something fragile

Why air-conditioned storage rather than a standard unit?
Because here the climate, not theft, is what ruins stored goods: mould on leather and fabric, mildew on paper and photographs, corrosion on the contacts inside electronics. A conditioned unit holds temperature and humidity steady, whatever the season outside.
Which cities have conditioned units?
Manila and Cebu, in our own warehouses, and Davao. It is the storage option with the widest reach we offer, which matters in an archipelago: the goods wait on the island they will be delivered to instead of crossing water twice.
What do clients put in a conditioned unit?
Electronics and IT equipment, instruments, artwork and antiques, wine, designer wardrobes and textiles, books, photographs and archives, medical stock, marketing material. The test is simple: if humidity would change it, it belongs here.
Can we get to our things during the hold?
Yes, on request. The unit is managed by our crew and the contents are on a digital inventory you can consult, so a single item can be found and released without disturbing the rest. Say at the survey how often you expect to ask.
Do you collect and pack as well?
Yes. Our packers collect anywhere in Metro Manila or Cebu, wrap what needs it, and place the goods in the unit. Delivery back to your door, or onward to a new address, is arranged from the same file when the hold ends.
Is the storage insured?
Cover can be arranged for the goods held, and we recommend it for anything a valuation would call irreplaceable. The terms and the declared value are set out in writing with the quotation, before the first carton is collected.
Is it suitable for a company's equipment and archives?
It is what many business clients use it for: IT equipment between offices, marketing stock, medical supplies, files that must be kept in a stable environment and produced on request. A corporate account and one invoice a month.
How is a conditioned unit priced?
On the volume held, the term, and the options taken: packing, collection, insurance cover. We measure the goods before quoting, so you pay for the space used rather than the space guessed, and the written figure holds unless the contents change.
