Reinforced Crates · Philippines

Reinforced storage crates in Manila and Cebu: sealed once, able to cross water unopened

A timber crate built to your load, reinforced with steel, locked, and held in Asia Relocation Philippines' own warehouse until it is lifted onto a truck or a vessel exactly as it was sealed. For households leaving one island for another, or the country for a while.

A reinforced crate is the storage that expects to move. In an archipelago that is not rare: a household transferred from Manila to Cebu waits for a sailing, a family leaving for two years keeps the furniture here, a company sends an office to a new island. Cartons handled twice arrive tired; a steel-reinforced timber crate arrives as it was sealed.

What it asks in return is a decision at the survey rather than after it. Crated goods are stacked for protection, so getting one item back is a scheduled handling, not a visit; and crates are built in Manila and Cebu but not in Davao, which decides where a crated load sits. Changing product later means handling everything again.

Asia Relocation Philippines has built and held crates here since 2011, in its own warehouses in Manila and Cebu, in flood-free zones, watched around the clock. The inventory written as the crate is packed is the list checked when it is opened, next month or in two years across the sea.

The perimeter

Built, sealed and held, and when another service is the answer

Three ways to store with us; this one is for goods that will travel.

Carried by the service

  • A crate built to the load: timber with steel corners and braces, sized so nothing moves, lockable, resistant to moisture and pests.
  • Packing by our crew, each item wrapped as it requires and listed as it goes in; the inventory is yours from the day of sealing.
  • A hold in our own warehouse, Manila or Cebu, flood-free, under cameras, alarms and security, for weeks or years.
  • A crate that travels as it is: lifted onto a truck or a vessel unopened when the hold ends, the inventory travelling with it.
  • An agreement that bends: extension, early release and a scheduled opening for one item, all in the same document.

Crates are sized and counted at the survey; the figure is written on what is built.

A different service

  • Goods you will keep visiting. If you expect to fetch things every few weeks, a sealed case is the wrong product; a locked unit of your own is self storage.
  • Goods the air would spoil. Electronics, instruments, art, wine and paper need a held climate, not a timber case: air-conditioned storage, which reaches Davao.
  • The crossing itself. Getting the crate from Manila to Cebu, or out of the country, is our moving service in the Philippines; the crate is built so the two are one file.
  • A crate in Davao. Not built there. A household settling in the south stores in a conditioned unit; we say so before the survey.

Name the rest in the inquiry; one coordinator handles it.

What gets crated

Four loads that end up in a sealed case

Same timber, same steel; what differs is how far it goes.

The household moving between islands

A transfer from Manila to Cebu or Davao is a sea leg, and sea legs wait: for a sailing, a berth, the weather. Goods crated before the crossing and held at either end come through as they went in.

Inter-island

The home left behind for a while

A posting abroad with a return clause, a school year at home, a contract that may not be renewed. The furniture is crated once, held in Manila, then delivered back or sent on without repacking.

Return

The load whose next address is not yet known

A household landed before the lease is signed, a family deciding between two cities. Crated at the port of entry, every option stays open.

Undecided

The office, the stock, the exhibition kit

Workstations parked while a lease is renegotiated, a branch sent to another island, event kit used twice a year. Crated by the room, listed by the item, produced by the case.

Office
How it works

Five steps from the survey to a crate that leaves as sealed

  1. The survey, and the two questions

We see the load, then ask where it goes afterwards and whether you will want anything back meanwhile. Those two answers settle whether crates are right, how many, and which city.

  2. The crates, built to the goods

Cases are built to the sizes the load needs, not the load forced into standard cases: a sofa, a table, a wardrobe each get a crate that holds them still.

  3. Packing, sealing, listing

Our crew wraps each item, places it, and writes the inventory as the crate fills. The case is locked and sealed, the list handed to you before it leaves.

  4. The hold

Crates are stacked in our Manila or Cebu warehouse, under cameras and alarms, on ground that does not flood. Nothing is asked of you.

  5. Out, or onward

Delivered back against the same inventory, or lifted unopened onto the truck or vessel for the next island or country. The storage file becomes the travelling file.

Who it's for

Four clients whose goods will move again

The family transferred to another island

Manila to Cebu, Cebu to Davao: an internal move here is a crossing, and the household waits in crates built for a crane, not a hallway.

The expatriate leaving, and probably coming back

Two years away with a return clause. Moving a household out and back costs more than holding it once, and much of what a Manila home accumulates is worth keeping but not worth a container.

The company sending a branch elsewhere

Desks, files and fittings from a Makati floor, crated by the room, held until the Cebu premises are ready, then sent on.

The household that landed early

The container is here, the home is not. Crated at the point of entry, the goods wait without having travelled the wrong way.

Coverage

Two warehouse cities build crates, and the third does not

Crates built and held in Metro Manila and Cebu; Davao is served with air-conditioned units only.

Manila is where most crates are built, and the default place to hold anything whose destination is not fixed: it is the country's point of entry and departure, so a crate waiting there has not travelled the wrong way. Cebu is a full second warehouse with its own crating, which spares a household bound for the Visayas a hold in the capital and a sea leg.

Davao is the honest limit. Crating is a Manila and Cebu capability; a household settling in Mindanao stores in a conditioned unit there, or has its crates built and held in a warehouse city until the crossing.

FAQ

What clients ask before a crate is sealed

When is a crate the right choice rather than a unit?
When the goods will move again: to another island, another country, or a home that does not exist yet. A crate is built once, sealed once, and travels as it is. A unit suits goods that will stay put, or that you want to keep visiting.
What is the crate made of?
Timber, reinforced with steel at the corners and braces, built to the size of the load so nothing moves inside. It is lockable, resists moisture and pests, and takes being stacked and craned, which is what a sea crossing demands.
Which cities build and hold crates?
Manila and Cebu. Davao is served with air-conditioned units only, so goods that need crating are held in one of the two warehouse cities. We say so before the survey, because it changes where the collection goes.
Can we get something out during the hold?
Yes, as a scheduled handling: the crate is opened, the item found on the inventory, the crate resealed. It is not a visit. If you expect to need things often, a unit you enter yourself is the better product.
Do the crates go from storage straight to a move?
Yes, and it is the reason to choose them. A crate that has waited in Manila is lifted onto a truck or a vessel as it is, and the inventory written when it was sealed becomes the list that travels with it.
What may not go into a crate?
Anything flammable, perishable or illegal, and the documents and valuables you would regret sealing away for a year. Goods the climate would damage, electronics, art, wine, belong in a conditioned unit rather than a timber case; we sort them out at the survey.
How long can a crate be held?
Weeks or years. A hold that runs long, or a year cut to five months, is handled inside the original agreement. What we ask for is notice, because a crew and, where water is involved, a sailing are easy to arrange ahead and awkward on the day.
How is crate storage priced?
On the number and size of crates the load needs, the term, and whether you take our packers for wrapping and collection. The crates are sized at the survey, so the written figure is on what is actually built, and it holds.
Not what you were looking for?

When a sealed case is not what you need

Your goods need a steady climate more than a strong box

Electronics, instruments, art, wine and archives: a conditioned unit we manage in Manila, Cebu or Davao, released by the item.
