Special Resident Retiree’s Visa (SRRV)

The Special Resident Retiree’s Visa, commonly known as the SRRV, is a highly sought-after visa issued by the Bureau of Immigration (BI), endorsed by the Philippine Retirement Authority (PRA). It is for foreign nationals and former Filipino nationals who are 50 years old and above, and who have chosen the Philippines as their retirement home, investment destination, or even for natural-born Filipino citizens who wish to return.

What sets the SRRV apart is its multiple entry privileges, allowing for complete freedom of travel to and from the Philippines, as well as the possibility of permanent or indefinite stay in the country as long as the visa deposit exists

What You Need to Know about Visa and Immigration Philippines:

  • Interpol Clearance to be obtained at the Philippine Retirement Authority (PRA) in substitute with the Police Clearance. 70 years old and above are no longer required to get this clearance..
  • All documents issued abroad must be authenticated or apostilled by the competent government authority in your country.
  • The processing time for the SRRV is usually 1 month.
  • Should you wish to work in the Philippines while holding an SRRV, you would need to apply for an Alien Employment Permit (AEP) at the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

There are different SRRV Options depending on your background:

    • You may use the visa deposit into an active investment (purchases of condominium, and long term lease of house and lot) once the SRRV is approved.
  3. SRRV Human Touch – for ailing retirees who need medical/clinical care; requires at least USD $1,500.00 monthly pension with a health insurance policy accepted in the Philippines and a visa deposit of USD $10,000.00
